Close your eyes for a few seconds, and get ready for a journey in history. The birthplace of aviation, it is a must see for someone visiting the area who likes aerospace. This is the field that the Wright Brothers learned how to fly and improve their plane. There are no facilities. But the replica looks ilke real and you feel the history. There is also Hoffman Prairie State natural landmark. This 112-acre grassland Is a remnant of the past, and home to plants and animals of the Ohio prairies.

Real life reincarnation of the Wright brothers barn but no Wright Flyer! Disappointment! You would think!!!

World's first airport. Don't expect too much, it's just a meadow. But if you appreciate aviation history it's a short drive from the (awesome!!!) Air Force Museum. It was also just a meadow when the Wright brothers perfected flying their new machine there.

Very cool history! Also a must stop when the prairie is in full bloom! The short walking path through the prairie is easy and so beautiful. Highly recommended.
