If you live in the hills (or you're visiting) you HAVE to check out JR's Rhodehouse BBQ pit. Our main course, a delicious brisket sandwich with a cheddar jalapeno sauce and green chili mac and cheese. I had to order an additional side of slaw which was worth every penny. Was fortunate enough to get a little smoked sample platter of two types of homemade sausage, Turkey slices that were incredibly succulent, a couple of pork ribs, and I'm sure I'm forgetting something as I'm on the cusp of a meat coma.nnLong story short, food is amazing and so are the people who work there. It should be at the top of your list for places to eat.

Absolutely loved it. We came a little late in the day, so I wasn't able to get the ribs, but the pulled pork was delicious. The beans were a little underwhelming but still all-round very good, but the bbq sauce was a bit sweet for my taste. Very nice environment with a relaxed sort of vibe, I really enjoyed my time here. Wasn't all that busy either. Overall I would highly recommend coming here for a meal if you're in town.

Best brisket we've ever had! The potato salad was amazing. The prices are decent and you can even get a beer there. The only thing I was missing is a baked potato! Brisket and baked potatoes are wonderful! The owner even stopped to chat with us to make sure everything was great. Highly recommend this place. We'll definitely be back!

Excellent food and service. We had 5 little ones with us so set outside so we could let them run. Great place to take your family. We all could visit and was one of our best family days

Kicking myself that it took us so long to try J.R.'s. The food was so good! We ordered the 1/2 Gout to try a variety, it fed our family of 4 with left overs! Not only was the meat delicious, I don't think I can eat coleslaw from anywhere else now! The staff are great, and they have a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. It is an instant favorite!
