They took time out of their day to take a glance at our transmission on an emergency basis when others said it would be two weeks before they could even take a look. We were traveling from WI to MT. Very grateful for their time and service.
Friendly enough guys to work with. However, when I came back from a 5,000 mile round trip last summer pulling a loaded horse trailer I had a severe torque shudder. My usual transmission shop was booked for several weeks and I had to get back on the road...fast. I requested a tear down and converter replacement. They would not do the work without first pulling codes. Then they wanted to keep my pickup until they could get it to shudder. With no load it didn't. So nearly one week and just over $200.00 later for a simple fluid and filter change they sent me on my way. The first ten miles out with a loaded trailer and the shudder was back. No warranty on their work. No refunds, nothing. It is too bad they will not do the work the customer needs. Two stars was generous in my opinion for the shoddy work they did.
Super service and good prices
They were willing to work with me so that I could drop my Jeep off and pick it up after hours. They laid out the options clearly and kept me informed as they worked on the transmission.
I highly recommend A-1 Transmission Specialists. They rebuilt my cars transmission years ago. This week when I though that I was having transmission problems, they checked it out for free. Was given ideas what my car might need for maintenance. Thank you for doing a great job.
