Not worth it...
Oh my goodness was it an uphill trek and a little dangerous coming down, but boy was it worth it! Very steep unsteady terrain with lots of loose rigid rocks but even my preferred home body 11yo was able to do it with lots of encouragement and rest stops along the way to the top; where my constantly on the go and very agile 9yo was first up and back down again no problem like nothing. Balance, endurance, and good sturdy shoes are a must.
So beautiful! Oh my God. The hike is soooo rewarding.
Little known gem on Spearfish Canyon. Your feet will likely get wet and parts of the trail are very steep with loose rocks, so you will need to be careful. It is beautiful.
This is an awesome hike, especially in the winter when the falls are frozen! It is only about a half mile from the road but pretty steep. There was a lot of ice on the way up so watch your step! Check out my youtube channel for the video... The Adventures of Shaun
