Beautiful area to park for a hike or even for a couple of nights. Deadwood was pretty packed with a motorcycle rally that was happening in Sturgis. So it was nice to get away to this more remote location. There were some dirt roads but nothing too intense. We didn't need to put the rig into 4x4. Best part, there was a storm during sunset that changed the color of the sky. It was astonishingly beautiful.nnAlso, we were able to find some wild raspberries that were just in season as well as some Oregon grape root and red clover. Awesome place to forage ud83dude42 There were alot of hornets around but we didn't have to worry about mosquitoes.

Very informative signs on the trails, and some of the views are absolutely gorgeous. I'd definitely recommend these trails. The road up there was really rough on our older van though.

A must stop and View the tower, is steep center staircase but has rails. It is 1.2 miles up and around the loop but beautiful views. One can see devils tower even.
