My wife and I are Choice Hotel people. We want a clean room and a very comfortable bed, and we always know that is what we'll get. We couldn't get one this night. We took a chance on American Inn & RV Park. The outside was not fancy, but clerk was friendly , and the room was very clean and the bed very very comfortable. No frills, just a very comfortable and clean room. Larry.

This park is a very good value for travelers such as ourselves who were passing through the area. The town of Murdo appears to have a number of local attractions, such as a vintage car collection, that would be interesting to explore. A majority of the lots are shaded and level. The electrical box and water hydrant were in good repair. All sites appear to be pull through and are surrounded by lawn. There is a dump site conveniently located. The rental process is handled at the hotel and includes convenient street parking for your rig. A very helpful, friendly man took care of everything we needed. Pilot Travel Plaza is directly on the road as you exit so fueling up is also very convenient.

Just ok for a one night stop over. It was more of a parking lot than a campground but they did have full hook ups and the price was decent. The shower house wasn't the cleanest but we have one in our camper anyway. Would recommend Prarie Pizza nearby for dinner. All the restaurants seemed pricey for such a sleepy little town. It served it's purpose for us as we were passing through on the way west and was safe and close to the highway.

Review for hotel: Nicely updated room. I would recommend the beds be next as our sagged in the middle. The resort theme car, parked in front, was complete with a hanging nut sack from the bumper if that’s your kind of humor.

Perfect little over night stop for us. Sites were easy in and out. Priced right! Walked to buffalo steakhouse for dinner.
