I thought it would be a lame site based on the aerial google view of it, but the view of the landscape and the size of the sites made them far better than I was anticipating. Cheap, easy to find, convenient location inside the park, great bathrooms, and great access to good-tasting water (I estimated 1 spout per 2 campsites). Sites each had a picnic table with a nice overhang to protect from sun.

Good overnight stopping place. We got electric site. They have showers. Perfect for a day in the Badlands. Half price if you have an access card.

I loved this campground. I woke up to one of the most amazing views. You wake up nestled very close to the iconic badlands peaks. There are no fire rings and fires are not allowed due to the dry grass everywhere. Showers were paid. I think it was four minutes or so for $0.50. Bathrooms could use some updating and maybe 2 shower curtains or a door. When I closed the curtain, stretched end to end it still had gaps at the sides. Also beware of the insane Gale force winds that kick up at 4am. That was some super intense winds.

Great setting for a campground with amazing views for sunrise and sunset. The only reason there isn’t five stars, is because the lack of boundaries set for each campground. We returned from a long day of hiking and wanted to park the RV and relax and hydrate. Someone had and RV, a car dolly, and their RV parked taking up part of my space. He moved after I spoke with him, but it would be nice to drop some white or yellow lines so we know. The pay showers weren’t the best, but they worked so bring quarters. They do have a change machine that takes up to a $20. Make sure if you have a DSLR to do some long exposure photos of the stars and mountains. I will add those once back at my MacBook. They are stunning.

Very clean and well maintained. There is so much space between sites that you feel like you have your own space. The picnic tables were also nice to have.
