Winter hiking, pick right weather and bring right gear are very important. Great hike to Adams and madison today!

This trail head is obviously popular, it was filled up with 150% more cars parked on the road when I arrived at 7:00am on Sat. I must note for this review, that this was a Saturday in Mid-August of 2020. Perhaps in years past, when there's not a pandemic going on and there's other things to do besides hiking in the woods, this trailhead parking lot might not be as jammed up. But that's what it was like when I was there. I just found a place to park on the side of the street about a quarter mile down the road from the actual trailhead. It was not a problem, though, as I was out to do a bunch of hiking. So walking a little bit more to the trailhead was not really a big deal. Get your hike on everyone! Take only pictures, and leave only footprints!

Great amount of parking but if you're not early you may have park on the road. Very popular destination for seeing out on a Presidential Traverse.

Great but challenging day hike up Air Line and back by Valley. Seems to be the preferred route. Lovely view.

This is the best location to begin the Presidential Traverse. The hike up Valley Way is challenging, but once you are at the top it is completely worth it fir the views. Madison Spring Hut is at the accent of valley way and it intersects with the AT at the top.
