Having summited via Champny and Piper many times I finally climbed Liberty today. It is shorter in length but fairly steep throughout. It took 1:48 to summit stopping once or twice for a minute at a time. Steady pace. Do not do this unless you are very fit and used to climbing in the whites. If you are used to climbing her its not any harder than say, getting to the top of Tuckermans.
The Liberty trail is not the easiest of trails, but it will test your skills. We came down Brookline, which was very difficult, however we had a fantastic time exhausting ourselves silly.
Such an amazing hike. Just go, it’s worth the pain you’ll feel in your legs the next day, lol!
