Great 4.5 mile hike up Mt Chocorua. Easy hiking most of the way up. Challenging near the top with lots of exposure and fun rock formations to climb.

We enjoyed the hike thoroughly. We enjoyed fall foliage near it's peak on October 10. Our dog joined us the entire way and he was exhausted by the end but able to do it. It's a good climb up to the top and is sure to make you sore if you're not used to frequent hiking or other exercise. There are several views on the way to the top so if you want to stop there you can, but definitely worth it to get to the top. If you are coming from Boston, leave early (we left at 5:30am) if you want a parking spot the lot is not large and fills up early.

Fortunately I have quick access to this trailhead. First time up I didn't bring my 45lb pup who usually goes with me because I wanted to scope the trials out. Probably wouldn't bring him unless he had a harness. Absolutely recommend bringing trekking poles. Parts can be difficult and would not recommend for beginner hikers. Made it to the summit in an hour and a half but I was hiking at a good clip. Heavy cloud cover at the top, waited an hour had lunch but cover didn't lift. Maybe next.time, supposed to be fantastic views!

Great hike. Went to the peak and did roughly 8 miles. Not too challenging. It looks dog friendly, but it made me nervous just watching them scale the rock face!

Its was a great hike! Definitely remember it being easier in my 20s. But had a great day with amazing views!
