It's a cool place! I'd go more if I lived in the area. We were there before the slides opened and the Staff asked us if they could turn the slides on early. Nice to see younger employees taking initiative. My teenage kids had a good time.

This place is super cool-natural spring water. There are a few different slides that are really fun, ropes to swing across the water on, a volleyball court, and an outdoor and indoor section. The ground is made of rocks instead of regular concrete. It is a really cool place because the water just feels so natural!

Probably my favorite part of coming to South Dakota. Its a giant indoor pool with warm, crystal clear water. They have multiple fun little activities as well. Two water slides, one is basically just a drop that fires you across the top of the water, and the other is a little longer and more relaxed, winding left and right until it drops you a foot or two into the water.nnIt also has a small outdoor pool with another taller water slide that weaves all over the outside of the building.nnIf you're ever on the west side of SD definitely check this place out.

The prices are much to high considering the fairly run down condition of the place. It cost me $37.50 for 2 children plus myself even though I was not swimming. We had purchased a punch card but apparently it had expired by 2 days so I guess that's my fault for not checking to see if they have an expiration before purchasing. I considered purchasing a swim suit since I had to pay to get in anyways however nearly all of the womens swimsuits were around $90. Not because of exceptional quality but because of exceptional markup. If I lived here I would probably consider the membership as it is nice to swim without all the chlorine. However as an occasional guest of Hot Springs I think they really price gouge the tourists and I likely won't be back anytime soon. On a positive note though I will say that they have done a nice job with the paint and improvements. It was significantly cleaner than the last time I was here around a year ago and my children had a great time.

So close to 5 stars that I'd have felt bad not rating this place as such. So many times these warm mineral springs have been personally used over the past 15 years, even before the City of Hot Springs took over as owner/operators of this fine resource. It never felt quite as warm in the large pool as I would have liked, but hey: It's flowing from down underneath and you accept what Grandmother is sharing with us at the time. The area of the kiddie pool has the warmest waters flowing in.nnSome say there's no chlorine or chemicals added here. This is untrue to the best of my knowledge, as a tiny trace of chlorine is added totally as a precautionary measure. Am way sensitive to such chemicals and I can just barely detect the trace, and then only if I'm actively trying to sense it. Will strive to get back here soon, as I've never had a bad visit yet. Suggest: Research the sole fight that the Cheyenne and Lakota ever got into. It was over these medicine waters. Fine history.
