Budge-It Drain Service (10/04/2020)
Stick to the basics and you won’t be disappointed! I used to love the Captain’s Table back in the 80’s -then it was a fancy steak house. Today it looks like a new family is trying to give it a second life. The restaurant itself echos a bit with its past “smoke everywhere” life that had me anxious about eating there but it was clean, we were seated quickly and service was fast. Our table had steak tips, hot beef sandwich and a club melt. Definitely not the worst food I’ve had in Custer this summer. Stick to the basics and enjoy some good diner-style food. I’d go back.

Affordable Do the fish or ribsnFriends had BBQ ribs reports to be good. My rib eye was completely unseasoned decent cook. Basic side salads. Crab legs were enjoyed. We saw other tables fish dinner it looked and smelled good.nService unpretentious was like being at your buddy housenWith 8 beers and wine bill was still under $200 for our table.

What a joke! I must admit that our best experience with this restaurant was driving out of the parking lot! Ordered a coke and it wasn’t right. Told the waitress that something was wrong with it (too sweet like Pepsi) and she just stared at me. I asked for water and she still charged me $5 for a messed up drink. Ordered a baked potato & asked for butter & cheese on it. She charged me and extra $2 because that was considered a loaded potato (with my $30 steak). My husband had shrimp that came with rice, he asked for a plain baked potato. His meal arrived with rice. He said he asked for a potato & she said it doesn’t come with a potato. She brought him a potato for an extra $4. His shrimp wasn’t eatable. At the end of our $120 meal we went & ate somewhere else.

Friendly but slightly under mediocre. Prime rib was pub quality at best - thin and swimming in watery mixture. Potatoes were the best part of the meals we had. Drinks were just okay. Reasonable prices but no reason to return

We had the absolute WORST service we have ever had at a restaurant. We were there nearly an hour before getting any food. Our ticket was apparently messed up by an incompetent waitress. We finally received the appetizer we ordered and a few minutes later all of our food. We never received our salads even though whoever was running food out of the kitchen came to our table no less than 6 times trying to give us food that was meant for other tables. He had no clue what the table numbers were and was literally counting out loud in front of customers trying to figure out where stuff went. The whole staff seemed to not have any ability to handle a busy restaurant. The manager have is a bill with some sort of discount on it but honestly with the service it was absolutely not worth it. My husband talked with the owner by chance on our way out the door. He only had excuses and complained about finding good help. Honestly that's not on your customers and should never be an used as an excuse for poor service. Avoid this place and head further into town. I can guarantee better service just about anywhere.
