The staff were really nice , there was a long wait when we went , however the quality of food more than made me happy to have waited for it!! They have the best cheese curds I have ever had. The burger was perfect . I will definitely eat here every time I come to the bBack Hills. It was a great way to end the night. Did I mention they have a really cool decor? They have a map of people who have eaten there from all around the world, it shows they care about each and every guest they have . Would recommend indefinitely. ud83dude01

The food is so good. We both ordered burgers with buffalo meat that were great, the cheese curds and fried pickles were also great, and the chocolate shake I got was honestly one of the best I've gotten at a restaurant.nnWe ordered food to go but the place was already packed pretty much right at 5. We ordered a pretty good amount of food and it took 45 minutes. We thought that was pretty good considering the amount of food and how many people were there. We just walked around and looked at some shops and it basically took up the whole time.

I was very excited to try Black Hills Burger and Bun. I read several reviews on the internet claiming it was the best burger in South Dakota, so during my visit to South Dakota I decided to go out of my way and try this restaurant. Unfortunately, I did not match the hype from the reviews I read. The burger was a bit overcooked, it wasn’t just my burger but all 4 of the burgers of my family members. I placed our order to go because there was limited seating options and hours, after departing the restaurant I realized the grilled onions I was charged to add to my burger were not added. My order was hot and fresh, and overall the burger had good flavor other than being well done. We tried quite a few items from the menu and the highlight of the menu were the sweet potato fries. Also, the bun used on the burgers are noteworthy, the buns were extremely fresh and flavorful. Overall, our experience at this restaurant was good, I would suggest if you order, try to request a medium cooked burger.

A must if your in Custer! My husband and I were driving through from Denver on our way to Custer State Park and stopped in for lunch. We chose just based on great reviews. Well here is another. There was wait, but only about 8 minutes. It was a bit weird coming from Denver and nobody was wearing masks or social distancing which was way out of our norm. We were seated in a cute booth. It’s a charming little burger join! We ordered there most popular burger “The Hot Granny” omg this burger was to die for! The jalapeño jam was delish, also if you don’t like spice you’ll even love this. There was no spiciness at all. We also got the “Loaded Hunter” which is a vegetarian option with a handmade black bean patty, also a delicious option. If your looking for a local lunch place in Custer. This is the one! 10/10 recommend.
