Bill and Jennifer the camp owners are friendly and very helpful. The camp is beautiful. Big pine trees and beautiful night sky filled with stars enjoyed around a camp fire.nNot only do you get that nature vibe, you are close enough to Custer town and Custer State Park to do all the fun stuff without having to drive a long way. Deep enough in to be peaceful and quite.nSite are easy to get in and out of and spacious.nThe bath is very clean with wonderful hot showers. Clean laundry reasonably priced.nFun game room and cute store.nWe have camped for 20 years. This is our new favorite. So much fun stuff to do if you are retired or have kids.

My husband and I stayed several nights in our pop-up camper. The campground is beautiful. The sites are set up nicely to accommodate everything from a tent to an RV. A nice change from many of the RV focused camps we see now. The bathrooms were clean, bright and spotless! The daily visits from the local deer were nice too. Great location. Will be visiting again.

A wrong turn lead me to Big Pine Campground and I couldn't be more happy. South Dakota definitely saved the best for last when it came to my camping experiences. The owners Jennifer and Bill were super friendly (if you visit see if you can guess her accent). The rates were more than fair. The facilities were immaculate. The tent sites are amazing. Tucked away in the back away from the highway noise. Big Pine was the only campsite I stayed at that offered lockable charging stations for your electronics. My view of the sunset was absolutely spectacular.nnIf I could give them 6 stars I would.nnThanks Big Pine for closing out my South Dakota vacation on a high note!!!

We stayed in June and the campground was secluded, quiet and plenty of trees. It is near Custer park and within 30 minutes of many other attractions.nThe owners were very accommodating and would even bring ice or firewood right to your site. Two rain storms caused havoc with their gravel roads and they had immediate attention taken to repair them.nThis is a top notch place and a beautiful location. We will certainly stay here again!

Beautiful pine trees, large spaces, Friendly staff, clean amenities! We had 10 RVs in our group and stayed for 8 days; everyone was very extremely pleased. Our RV spaces opened up to large grassy common areas, Creating space for us to gather without bothering other campers. Surrounded by forests with walking trails, we saw lots of deer at the campsite. We also liked that the tent areas were separated from the RVs. The WiFi worked. Close to town.
