This is an amazing private residence open for personal group tours through appointment with the owners. The house was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, but fell into great disrepair before the current owners acquired it and did a lot of work to restore it to its former glory. Street parking was no problem. The owners have truly marvelous stories about how they acquired the house, concerns about the project from the original neighbors, letters between the original owners and Frank Lloyd Wright, etc. They love answering questions, and we stayed nearly an hour after the completion of the official tour.nNotes:nYou cannot bring food or beverages into the house, nor use the restroom on site. However, they do provide a water bottle and nut bar in a gift back on your way out :)nYou are allowed to take pictures for private use only.

Wonderful tour and a 5 star restoration. Fascinating!

imo, the most jarring image is the overall design which was so futuristic when pared with the 1934 kitchen 'technology'...the design still resonates into the 21st century...

To the best of my knowledge, access is only available as part of an organized (architectural) group. It's a private residence, which I've only been in years ago because I knew the resident caretaker personally. The property is surrounded by a hedge that only permits glimpses of the house. I rated it with 4 stars because of its inaccessibility--if you are part of a visiting group, it's 5 stars as a great example of Frank Lloyd Wright 's prairie style of architecture, built for little money (which some time ago caused very serious and expensive maintenance problems).

Loved this little example of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture during an important period of his evolution. Our guide (the owner of the house) was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The care he has taken in restoring this property is impressive.
