I love Mt Holly because it has the most variance of terrain, there is something for everyone at every stage of learning. The grooming this year has been top notch. They made big changes over the past few summers and opened up new runs and terrain. They are enforcing masking and building capacity, according to current policies. It’s been fantastic to see such overwhelming crowds experiencing snow sports, many for the first time. Please bring your patience and a positive attitude and you’re guaranteed a GREAT time! (And if you need to rent equipment, come early!)
The ski trainer Bobby Jacobs has got to be one of the best out there. He is very patient with the kids and explains everything to them so they understand. He is a wonderful listener and knows what he is doing. He also reports back everything that went on during the training to the parents so everyone is on the same page. He comes highly recommended!
Everyone was friendly and things ran surprisingly smoothly at rental. We LOVED the conveyor belt bunny hill lifts! It was my four year old nephew's first time on skis. The lift operator was particularly encouraging with high fives and great energy. The employees in general were very helpful and he had a great time! We had a mix of fresh and man-made snow.
Great experience here. I'm teaching my boys (4 and 7) to ski, and they've had Tom over the past two weeks. Very patient and a good teacher, went above and beyond. The hills are great for the area. Good fun for the whole family, doing a good job with COVID restrictions too. Highly recommend.
The beginner's area is good and wide with two carpets and two ropes. The other slopes are very good too with some relatively long runs. Excellent option close to Detroit area. It might get crowded quickly, plan to arrive early on the weekends.
