The campground is nice as a rustic campground can be. It was good to have easy access to potable water nearby. The pit toilets were OK although it would have been nice to utilize some of the available water for some kind of a sink to wash hands. It's nice to be right on the river however the website says there's a boat ramp. That is not correct. There is none - unless you're launching a kayak from the banks. Otherwise you have to go into Sanford & spend $12 to launch or the other side of the lake & spend $6.nnBasically a good campground with nice level sites & good trees. It got a bit noisy over the weekend but what do you expect for an unmonitored campground?

Very nice little campground. It survived the dams breaking.

Spaces here are HUGE. Fire ring is also super huge, i dug out the ash before starting our first fire and i almost wish i hadn't because now the fire is lost in the ring. Swimming here isn't the best, its a little off shoot of a river and the bottom is all clay, sink right up to your knees in clay, but if you had kayaks or canoes it would be perfect. Didn't see a camp host. Have people right next to us and down the way a bit, everyone was quite and respectful last night. Beautiful place, will be coming back.

Quiet setting. Accommodates our RV. Is rustic only. No electricity. Pit toilets clean and strategically placed.

This is a party park, beer bottles caps all over each site. The low lifes on site 6 were up until 3am. There hearing must go bad when they drink because the more they drank the the louader they got and higher the radio volume got. 09/08/2019 . The outhouse toilet seat are very low to the floor. Very hard to get off the pot if you have bad knees. Never did find the boat launch, banks along Back Creek very steep to walk down. Good luck. Wilson State Park is suppose to manage this park, all they do is collect the money from the steel post at the registration box and leave.
