Staff are friendly and helpful, location is fantastic. The variety of sites are nice, options for tents and big rigs, with and without electric, water, and sewer hookups. The water is high right now so the beach area is smaller than normal but the water is shallow pretty far out and warms nicely in the summer. Facilities are old though, and the restroom and shower facilities need upgrading. Would be nice to have an actual park area for kids to play, even if it is small (right now there's nothing). Overall a nice little campground with knowledgeable staff but it could use some upgrades.

This is my second time here this year and I am not sure what has happened. In June the staff were very friendly and the park was clean. Now the bathrooms are not being cleaned on a regular basis. The showers are cold and I was in the showers at five am. I have only seen the showers sanitized once. There is hardly anyone in the office to go to with issues. The staff drive around in golf carts smoking except one nice young lady I believe her name was Kris. The trash is not picked up as the paper they gave us said. I am sad to post this but this is not the same place it use to be. Also with Vivid I believe they are to supply soap. I over heard a few men say they had been out of hand soap since the night before. Please bring this place back to what it use to be. A family friendly clean place to stay.

It was a great campground. It was the first time camping in a long time. The grounds were clean, restrooms were clean, the staff was really nice. Lots of trees. You could hear a little traffic noise from I75, but the location of the camp ground was great to use as a hub and travel on day trips to the surroundingnarea.

Really nice campground. The sunrise views can't be beat. Very clean and well maintained. Some of the sites are a little on the small size and close together but not terrible. We managed to fit a 10×14 tent, a 10×10 canopy, and our truck and small utility trailer in the site without any issues. It didn't leave a lot of extra room in the site but that's okay. We spent most of the time away from the site anyway. The campground is only a few minutes away from the town of St. Ignace where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Also, Sheplers Ferry runs shuttles to the campground if you are planning to spend a day on Mackinac Island. Just call and tell them you need a shuttle and they'll be there in 5 minutes. Best part is that it's a free shuttle ride.

Pretty awesome spot with a great view for pictures of the lake and surrounding area! Only a dollar to get in and climb the rock and everything is the gift shop was very moderately priced. Got some goodies to take home for next to nothing. Definitely worth the stop if you're in the area.
