Staff is pretty nice for the most part. But some of them just don’t really know what they’re talking about? I was told 2 different things, if you buy product from ANY Boyne Country Sports they back their product. So any issues/defects they’ll take care of it. Bought some Salomon ski boots, they needed just a bit more heat molding and the Manager in GR tried to charge me? The Mountain told me as long as I have proof of purchase they’ll adjust them for free. I went back and forth with the GR location vs. the Mountain and the manager in GR was not good with confrontation. So I had him call the mountain to confirm the info so I could get my money back. And then I never heard from the Manager in GR. Just saw the funds come back to my card. I’m not complaining entirely, but would’ve been nice for the Manager to say the money is coming back to me. Communication isn’t really the best in GR so I’ll probably just drive 2+ hrs up North to have them help me out from now on.

We just drove about an hour and a half, and had a great experience. We came rather late into the store hours and was greeted by a young man named Peter. He was extremely helpful and even stayed a bit past the store hours to help us. He was very respectful and we couldn’t have been happier with our first impression.

Came here for help with some new skis, boots, and binding. Great personal attention to detail and Austin provided excellent service!nnPeter was also very helpful when we needed some help.nnWill be going here for everything skiing related.

If you need anything outdoors, from winter to summer, fall to spring, this is the store you're looking for. Skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, and so many more things this store covers, will fascinate you as if you're a kid in a candy store for the first time. If you're looking for a personal expert experience with winter gear, you'd be ignorant to not go see Peter. This guy will take care of you and your winter needs like you didn't even know. Boots, bindings, skis, boards, etc, he has the knowledge and is just simply there to help you out. All around, Boyne Country Sports in Grand Rapids is a beautiful store, with very friendly and knowledgeable staff that will go out of there way to help you with your needs. It's easy to get to, and they work hard to get your gear ready for your adventures. Hands down, this is my shop, and I don't think I'll ever need another with the way they run their business. Hope this helps anyone looking for an Outdoors Shop in Michigan, because no matter where you're at, they are worth the drive!
