Blodgett Memorial Medical Center Heliport

I had great treatment from everyone. From getting me ice or helping me with a pillow, they never made me wait. All the staff are super friendly and encouraging. A big warm thank you to all that took wonderful care of me at Blodgett SOC.

I feel when you review a hospital you can't fully review it off your one experience. More you can review the department you worked with whole at the hospital. I went to Blodgett for an endoscopy. For my procedure I need a covid test prior. First just as I was starting to think of crud how do I schedule that again? Who do I call? I checked my VM and they had already left a message about scheduling my covid test. The scheduling team was efficient, the days and times available had several openings and they had a location not that far from me. The day off the test I over slept. I called the number back and they stated that was fine that I shouldn't be turned away. I got to the site and it wasn't busy. I was first in line. I got through quickly. Because I had no symptoms and it was for a procedure, I didn't have to have the horrible test where they shove the q-tip up to your brain. The day off the procedure the directions got us right to the right door. They offered valet parking for my driver. I was registered quickly at every stop. They had you put on a new mask and they allowed my driver to come in and sit with me. But this policy could change I'm guessing. The nursing staff was great. All the nurses that worked with me were fast, carrying, personable and well informed. The anesthesiologist got me sedated enough to have the procedure with no memory of it which is what I needed. Dr. Wan (Won? Not sure on spelling) was very personable. He answered all my questions and I felt fine after the procedure. My after care was made clear to my driver and they were great about helping me wake up. I have chose spectrum for my GI issues for several years and this experience was an example of why. I wish I could remember nurses names but that's the nature of sedation. But my visit was on new years Eve 2020. They made it a not so bad way to end the year.
