It was awesome, and mostly empty
Very rustic but our map was outdated. The trails were fun to explore, but we didnt find what we were looking for. Trails werent marked very well. Campsites were a little close together, but they were good sized with decent shade.
Awesome beautiful park on the fast moving Heron river and big Eric Falls
Pretty and easy to get to.
A relatively quiet corner of the U.P. to stay the night. It's right off of a (locally) busy-ish dirt road, but otherwise there's not much traffic. Neat little rapids and fishing holes right off of the bridge too add to the scenery!
