Caplingers Fresh Catch

Delicious fresh seafood. We stopped in for lunch (to go only right now). The lobster roll pictured was creamy, and full of large pieces of lobster with just enough seasoning. The sweetcorn Cobb was cooked to perfection. We also got the clam po boy and Buffalo fries which were great

I went there to check it out. Have heard nothing but good things. Wow! What a great and helpful staff. Answered all of my questions. I ordered the Caplingers catch of the day (at least I hope that's what is was called). Probably one of the best fish sandwiches I have ever had. I am looking forward to going back and sampling some of their other items. They have a large selection of fresh fish to choose from so I want to get some of that to cook at home. I would recommend this place for folks on the Southside of Indianapolis if you haven't tried it.

First time here and we were very impressed! We drove about an hour to get here and were a little disappointed we couldn’t eat in yet but found our way to the fresh seafood counter. The staff were all super friendly and helpful, answered all our questions and we were able to pickup some beautiful sea bass and fresh oysters! We decided to get an order of fried oysters to go and let me tell you they were some of the best we have ever had! The batter was spot on and the oysters were plump and fresh. We travel to the south east coast about 4 times a year and have had good fried oysters before, these were wonderful! We will definitely be back, it is worth the drive!

Absolutely fantastic one place the seafood is great prices are reasonable selection is really good. It's very hard to find a fresh seafood place of reasonably fresh in Indiana this is definitely one that the pricing is great and the selection even better. Without paying over $100 for a couple. So my new top five restaurants

I was super stoked to see a Caplinger's had opened on the south side. I picked up some tuna that was supposed to be sushi grade to be made into a tuna poke. When I got home to cook it, I was disappointed to find out that it was too fishy smelling and tasting to be used that way. Refusing to waste $30 in fish even if it wasn't what I wanted to do with it, I ended up using a strongly flavored marinade and cooked it well done. I was sad to see what should have been a beautiful poke turn into... that. :/
