Took the whole family out camping including children and grandchildren. Beautiful area, great hiking trails and fishing. It could have been warmer Sunday morning, but some hot coffee for adults and cocoa for the kids with toasted donuts made everyone comfy as the sun came up over Big Stone Lake.
Great campground.
Fantastic choice of easy to moderate trails. Nothing too long! Great mix of shaded trails and open trails on the hills overlooking the lake. Spring fed freshwater streams and bridges along many of the trails. Bathrooms are super clean with running water and flushing toilets as a bonus.
Well kept and spacious campground. We were in the East campground and the spaces were plenty long in most spaces and weren't crammed tightly together. Our whole family loved it and really enjoyed the frisbee golf course.
