Very informative. This is a gem of a museum and needs help. The docent really loves his job and is well versed in the history of not only Sam Brown but the local community as well.
Sam Brown Memorial State Wayside is a historical park in Browns Valley, Minnesota. This honors a frontiersman Sam Brown. The day we arrived two other people were there. We stepped outside the vehicle we were in and the man asked us if we wanted to look inside. Of course we did. He told us he is the caretaker. The man took us inside Sam Brown's cabin and told us the history of the family. We visited the school house also. These are the original buildings that are left. If you like history of Minnesota this is a place to visit.
Just great. Lots of apples. Very pretty
Historical museum. Love looking at things from the past.
A small, well maintained historic site, with a few original buildings. We visited prior to Memorial Day so the buildings were not open to tour and no staff was available. There are a few informative plaques to read.
