We absolutely love this Forest preserve. There is an East and a West and both are filled with surprises. The East has great biking trails and walking trails and a beautiful prairie while it also has a mini RC airfield. The West has so many hills in ravines it's surprising that it's located around here because it makes you feel like you're in Wisconsin. There are two sledding hills and lots of walking biking kid stroller friendly trails and pathways all around both East and West that make this a very enjoyable Forest preserve. The hours are from sunrise to sunset however they do extend the hours sometimes in the winter for the sledding hill.

A beautiful forest with good trails. I enjoy running the trails here with my friends. Some trails are paved, others are crushed rock, and a few are dirt. There are sections of the forest that have been restored by volunteers and are especially enjoyable to run through. I recommend visiting in early spring before the bugs get bad and the first forest flowers are blooming.

Full of trails and picnic shelters. Very well managed. You could find many species of birds so bring binoculars. Ample parking. Some bike trails are gravel to offer multiple biking experiences....

Great for biking, walking, hiking. Nice dirt trails with elevation to get you into a good workout. Some trails take you next to the main road, while some are deep into the woods. Lots of parking and big forest preserve.

Large forest preserve with well laid roads right into the inner area with ample parking and restroom facilities/picnic areas.
