Me and my husband got a wide variety of food to try a little bit of everything and get a good feel on if we like the food. Let me tell you, it was the best Mexican food we have EVER HAD!! Everything was so fresh and so well seasoned! Reasonably priced and so delicious! Will recommend to everyone I know!

Ooooooooh so good!! I swear small town Mexican restaurants are THE best! Chips and salsa come automatically but of course we had to get cheese dip. I got the El Pastor tacos, which are made with marinated steak rather than pork but just as devine! And a good amount of margaritas... I couldn't pass them up!! The server presses fresh OJ into them and I can promise you this makes it SO much grander with the gran gala they use as a triple sec. This is now our go to till we leave Iowa!! The servers are beyond attentive even when they're busy. You can really tell they love their job!nI've been a server for 15 years and they are what every guest should except of someone to take care of them... Hence to why we tipped so generously. I hope everyone that comes here experiences the service we did and will help this small town restaurant grow!

I’m back in Iowa visiting and as I was driving through Huxley I noticed that the old Royal Cafe was once again open and had cars all around the building. I’m always hungry foe good Mexican food and boy they didn’t disappoint me for I ordered a shrimp chimichanga and it was the best I’ve ever had! I highly recommend this place.

The food here is amazing. I love the Texano Burrito (steak) and the chimichanga. Just simply delicious!nnI’m normally quite picky regarding Tex-Mex or Mexican food so it’s rare for me to find something I like. There’s also a lot of good vegetarian options besides *deadpan voice* quesadillas.nnI’m very happy a good restaurant moved into Huxley. Victor’s was also good but unfortunately he closed so I’m happy another restaurant took his place.nnSo if you’re in town and want Mexican, I suggest trying here at least once!
