Great small town school, small classes, great teachers, all the kids get bussed to and from school. They have a great extracurricular activities aka sports programs. Great show choir. It would surprise you for being a small town school.
This is an excellent K-12 public school. One building has K-3 students and offers 3-4 YO preschool and Transitional Kindergarten programs. Other building has 4-12 students. Outstanding teachers and administrators teach students to learn and develop skills to prepare for life after school. Athletics are a strong point of the Hinton Blackhawks. Numerous state appearances in recent history by nearly all sports makes the school, students, and the community proud. The school recently completed a Wellness Center that provides a high quality wrestling practice facility on one side. The other side offers weight training equipment, cardio machines, and a turf field for speed training. Monthly membership to use the facility is available to the community. If you're moving into the area or considering open enrollment, come see for yourself and talk with members of the community how well they enjoy sending their children to Hinton Community School.
