Way was the Fort moved? Keeping it in its original location would be more authentic.
Kind of a humbling experience thinking about John Brown and reading about him. This of course going to where he was and experiencing what was going through his mind around the raid of the fort just makes it very somber. Just trying to think about him and be in his shoes! He was definitely an extreme abolitionist and may have gone about it in the wrong way, but he is definitely worth looking up and studying!
Nice shops. Cool history. Get into a tour to hear about Brown. Cost of lunch is high. Maybe pack one. There is a bathroom on the lower street.
Blast to the past, a place of many wonders and history, pleasant in winter and summer. Add your padlock to the bridge or film a move scene. This place has it all.
Amazing to stand on the spot which lead the country closer to the Civil War. Gives me goose pimples just thinking about it.
