For a $4 zoo, it's a nice way to get outside and see some cute animals. The big guys - the lions, tiger, and bear (oh my) sleep most of the time. It's the smaller animals that are worth watching. The monkeys, the donkey, the turkeys, the porcupines, the bobcats and foxes. The badger is really cute during feeding time - or when anyone else is being fed. Only took me about an hour to walk around, and that's because I lingered to watch some animals get fed, which was worth the extra minutes.

Great zoo for the size! We spent about a hour here and easily could have spent plenty more time there. The exhibits were orderly and clean. All staff was very nice as well. Worth every bit of the $4 entry fee.

We recently visited the Amarillo Zoo for the first time a few days ago. Admission prices are reasonable, $8 for two adults and a baby. The weather was nice and the few animals there were out. For Amarillo, I expected way more, so I was disappointed that it wasn’t more! On the day we went, it wasn’t crowded at all, in fact we wondered if they were even open. This zoo definitely needs to be updated and additions would be nice.

For a big city it is a smaller zoo, but clean and all the animals were very active today! The staff was friendly and the price was very fair. Overall great zoo for my kids to run and get enjoy the animals.
