If you’re looking for someone who is compassionate about helping you succeed with your baby then Kara at Best Fed is where you need to go. She went above and beyond to provide me service with my newborn who was struggling with weight gain. I was adamant to nurse, she respected that, and helped me try several ways to help my baby to grow. She was patient, attentive, knowledgeable, and so giving of her time. We had an appointment with Kara last week to get my 10 week old checked for ties and to ask some breastfeeding questions (because while mom groups are supportive, sometimes the advice given is what worked for the person giving it but not necessarily for me so we wanted to get the expert's opinion). This is baby #4 and I'm so glad Kara is available for appointments for us to check in and troubleshoot as needed! I wish I would've had her when I was breastfeeding with my first kid! She's such an asset to SETX with extremely affordable pricing. I'm sure we'll be back to follow up once we're ready to start solids!

I work with Kara. & I was also a NICU mom recently in which Kara gave me lactation support! She is very passionate about what she does. Kara will be patient with you, she spends time to explain things that you might not understand about your baby. GO SEE KARA for all your feeding needs.

Friendly, helpful and communicative. Kara has the ability to approach feeding problems from the perspective of both an occupational therapist and a lactation consultant. She is patient and thoughtful about even the most complicated cases.

Kara is extraordinary. I had my son at 29 weeks premature. Kara worked closely with our Baptist NICU team both with lactation consultations and Occupational Therapy. Simply put, I don’t know what I would have done without her. For starters, she is extremely knowledgeable. She explains things in a way you can easily understands, she always offers a helping hand to show you, give you examples, walk you through things step by step. Kara is also so kind, thoughtful, and dependable. I spent almost every single day in the NICU with my son, and every time I saw Kara there, she not only checked on him and updated me on anything regarding his progression, but she always took the time to check on me, speak to me, offer a kind word and a few times even a shoulder to cry on. This beautiful woman KNOWS HER STUFF. If I ever needed her services again, she is the first person I would run to.
