Beyond the Red Door

BEWARE!!! Owner appears to have some sort of mental illness. I met my daughter in the parking lot (she was being dropped off by a friend and she was putting her school things in my car before we went in). Owner came out between my car and our friend’s car, trapping my daughter not allowing her to open our car door. She told us that her parking lot was private and demanded to know what we were doing. I then told her I live just down the street and we were stopping by at which point she says that she’s never seen me before and that she’s had the shop two years and if I haven’t bothered to stop by before then there’s no point in me stopping by now. I told her we were new to the neighborhood but that that was okay at this point we certainly would not be going in her store. I also told her that she is operating a business with a parking lot open to the public with no signs stating otherwise. She continued to stand in the way of my daughter so she couldn’t get in the car and I had to threaten to call the police for her to move so my sweet darling 15 year old daughter who was scared for her life could get in the car. Our friend was held by this woman for some 10 minutes after we left, nice 16 year-old band student who had to be interrogated before she would let him leave the parking lot. Please, beware if you have children, or if you don’t get out of your car right away to go in her shop she might come after you. Her behavior was very aggressive and alarming. I almost filed a police report but after we got away and I was able to calm down I really truly felt sorry for her. If someone knows her, I would implore you to make sure she is getting help. Someone else may have gotten physical with her if she attempted to keep them from getting in their vehicles, especially if she tries to keep someone else’s child hostage. Scary.
