I signed up a few months ago with a referral discount from an instructor. I received an email today that stated since they couldn’t confirm the instructor, they were taking away my referral discount. I called them up and told them they were the one who cancelled her class and that’s why she’s no longer a member. They stated it didn’t matter and I had to be connected with a current member to get the discount. I pointed out that they would rather lose $40 a month by cancelling my membership, instead of just $10 for keeping me on the referral program they promised me at sign up. The lady said that was fine!!!! So I cancelled me membership. I was informed of none of this at sign up. Great to see what a valued member I am.

I started a New Year's resolution a bit early. Great place. I went from 18.5% to 17% body fat in a month. I go everyday. The classes are very helpful. The aerobic class is definitely very challenging. The exercise equipment is excellent. The pool is usually empty and you can take full advantage of it. The staff is very nice. Now go and get in shape you couch commandos.

I have used the North Rutherford YMCA since it opened. I have done everything from Saturday swimming with my granddaughter to strength training for me. I have run on the treadmills and the indoor track. My granddaughter learned to swim at the Y and joined the swim team. Most of my Y trips have been for a treadmill run which have often been combined with a swim in the lap pool which is kept cool and then a few minutes in the hot tub. There is no part of the Y experience that is not first class. The facility is clean, the equipment is top notch and well maintained, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I should also add that they have responded to the Covid situation with appropriate precautions to provide as much service as possible with safe conditions.

Worked out here for years and it is always clean and the staff is top notch. You can accomplish your fitness goals here, whatever they might be.

It’s been two weeks since I got enrolled with YMCA north Rutherford, and I like how it’s organised and the crew always walk around and clean up.
