Walgreens

I sat in the pharmacy pick up for 30 min while Kassie went back and forth from the window to somewhere else without acknowledging I was sitting here. She was taking care of another customer in the lane beside me. Why couldn’t she ask the lady in the other lane to come inside with her insurance problem. If I could get my prescription back I’d go elsewhere.

I had my spouse go down and try to pick up my prescription. I tried to fill it at the Walgreens that’s closest to me because we were in a hurry and it was much closer than the Kroger that I normally go to. So the pharmacist named Britney apparently will not except a coupon for the prescription that I take because I have not filled it at that pharmacy before although I have filled other prescriptions at that pharmacy and in years past several prescriptions at that pharmacy she would still not except a coupon for the medication that I’m on which is a controlled substance. They controlled substance that I am on is not a narcotic it is actually a medication to stop taking narcotics. Every time I walk into the store it seems as though the people have a chip on their shoulder about this medication. They are very nice and friendly until you mentioned that you need to get a prescription filled with this particular medication and their whole demeanor changes. I don’t understand why they act the way they do. I had to call down because my spouse asked about the generic or the Name brand as they are different color boxes one is bright yellow and the other is white. The bright yellow I accidentally got a few months previous and it had bad side effects which made me feel uncomfortable. When my wife asked her she said what difference does it make. My wife said well it makes a difference because it doesn’t have the same reaction with my husband that the other namebrand does. She would not tell my wife which came she had. They do start the medication. They just refused to honor a coupon for the medication that every other Walgreens will honor. The publics that I go to and 3 to 5 other Publix that I have tried to go to all react the same way I don’t know if there’s something underlying that I’m not realizing or maybe they don’t like the clientele that comes in to get that medication but I do very well for myself if it was about income and I am not a thug instead I am a upper-class white male who runs three businesses that I own personally.So when I go into a wall greens that are nationwide and every other Walgreens I walk into excepts this coupon for this medication and this is the closest Walgreens to my house it makes me wonder why they act the way they do. Is it a personal decision on the part of the manager or the pharmacist on duty, did they have a daughter or sister die or mother or brother? Maybe it’s bringing personal feelings into the workplace but there is no place for it in our society. Do your job fill the prescription and stop bringing your personal opinions and feelings into it. I will be trying to go further up the chain and find out if they are allowed to discriminate based on medication or any other reason. At this point I feel like I have been discriminated against and feel very uncomfortable going into that store. When people know you by name or by medication in this case it makes you feel like an outsider or like you have been labeled. I believe that’s why HIPAA laws are in place so that people don’t feel this way. I will be following up with several people and by the way don’t mention that you’re going to have a conversation with an attorney in general, They will stop speaking to you based on the fact that you said the word attorney even if you don’t even have an attorney. Good luck to anyone shopping at the store on medication’s that are not standard.

This is my Walgreens. This is my first choice. I am very happy with the service I get here.nThe management is always on the ball and on top of things - making sure both policy and service is understood and followed. Really appreciate these guys. Thanks so much for the years of great customer service.

Used this store atleast weekly for a year. Staff both up front and at the pharmacy have always been patient, Kind, and friendly. Never had any unreasonable issues.
