I have been here several times and have always had a great time! The beach is always clean, the area around the beach is always in good order! There has never been an unruly situation! You will enjoy a day here with your family!

Dam afterbays always house fish, there's stripers, cats, carps, and bait fish, among others. Bowfin, sauger, sunfish also possible. A lot of gar too. Big water though, when the flow is high. Run big gear, recommend at least 30-50# braid with mono/flouro leaders, 3 way swivels, or you will snag and lose tackle. Some folks snag for asian carp. Often, lots of dead carp on rocky shoreline, so expect odors. A few staircases to get to the water, the rest is treacherous sharp granitw boulders, be very careful. Often there are many anglers, not for the feint of heart. Potential for big fish is ok, but heavily fished. Know how to be courteous, with many long casting anglers and high flow, if you're not practiced, you'll cross lines a time or two.

Amazing! Place to swim for the kids and to grill out. I can spend all day there

Relaxing. I like it there for a cheap way to spend the day
