What a great experience. The hubs and I hit up Sweet Tea around 10 am on Friday morning. Stephanie was an amazing waitress. The atmosphere was great. I ordered the Sweet Tea platter which came with grits, Bacon, and sausage and the hubs got Shrimp and Grits and we both got a waffle on the side. The food was well seasoned and they offer vanilla creamer with coffee (huge plus for me). I wasn't a fan of the waffles though. We will definitely visit again for lunch.

Went here with my classmates for brunch and I had the shrimp & grits. OH MY!!! Sooooo tasty. I've NEVER had grits this good & they give you such a generous portion. The next day the grits weren't hard like leftover grits usually are. They were so good I took them back to Sumter so my sister could taste them. By the way the staff was very sweet and accommodating. I can't wait to go back!

This was my first visit and it could have gone better, but it was no one's fault. I arrived on Sunday just after noon. I was given a brunch menu, which consisted of some very tempting items, that normally would have been great. That day, however I had previously had my full of breakfast type food. I saw a special board on the way in but was told it wouldn't be available until 1pm. I decided to wait around. The waitress was very nice and I was offered some samples of their namesake tea. When 1 pm arrived the only available option I had was a fish sandwich or the choice of a few salads off a lunch menu. The fish sandwich which tasted fine, but presentation wise. It could have been better. No kind of bun, as you might expect, just some half toasted slices of bread, tomato, slightly wilted greens, and some tartar sauce. I had onion rings on the side which I won't order again if I'm back. Every thing was just tossed on the plate as if fixing it had been some kind of burden. I sat there for an hour and saw wonderful looking items coming out to tables, but sadly mine wasn't among them.

On March 27th, my family, friends and I, showed up at Sweet Tea Cafe, 16 people deep. We had just left a homegoing service for my sister. Because of the pandemic, we didn't plan a repast, but it soon became obvious that we needed to eat. I have been here at least 3 times and recommended it. They did not disappoint. Except for one dish, everyone raved about how delicious the food was. The service was wonderful, and they overcompensated, with substantial portions. I thought having the owner come out and offer sympathy to the group was very special. Thank you for accommodating our pop up repast.

The wife and I ended up eating here after realizing our other plans had fallen through. We had heard of this place recently, and always thought about going, so when we passed by driving around looking for somewhere to go, we turned in and had lunch. I had the cheese steak my wife had the Fried Shrimp Po' Boi. Both meals were delicious! But the Po' Boi was off the chain. Seriously delicious and a cute little place with great atmosphere! Highly recommended!
