I never write reviews, but after what happened to me today I had to come here. I have been to this business two times. The first time I loved the way my hair turned out (wash, deep condition, blow out, flat iron, and trim). My only issue is that I was seen close 2hrs past my scheduled time! Now fast forward to today (a Friday..this detail comes in handy soon), I was scheduled for a 2pm appt. I have a special event this weekend and did not have any other time to get my hair taken care of. I show up at 1:55, she says nothing to me just looks at me and returns to her other client. About a minute later she asks how she can help and I let her know I am her 2:00. She then walks up to me and says she has to cancel because she is not feeling well and needs to see a doctor. Her nose was runny and her eyes were a little puffy...the kicker is SHE WAS NOT WEARING A MASK. In my head I’m like if your sick why aren’t you wearing a mask...why are you breathing your sickness directly over the other client. Anyway she asked if we could reschedule to which i say I have a event and I would need to find someone else. But my annoyance is she didn’t call me, she let me waste my time and come to an appointment she wasn’t going to keep. My other annoyance is she pulled this on a Friday afternoon, late enough that finding somewhere to else to go would be impossible and many hairdressers (black owned) don’t work weekends..I called around for an hour looking for someone else, many didn’t answer my call and the ones that did were completely booked. Anyway I had to put my hair in the hands of a Caucasian woman (with little to no experience with natural black hair) at Walmart because at that point I was desperate. With people coming in town and staying at my house and my hair well passed wash day it had to be done. She did a decent job and I can put my own touch on it later...but to say I’m disappointed with this business is an understatement. I can’t recommend someone who doesn’t have the courtesy to reach out to clients before she cancels. I can’t recommend someone who doesn’t time her appointments correctly, I understand being a little late...but 2hrs? Hope she feels better soon though.....

Lisa (owner) is awesome! She is kind and warm-hearted. I have been going to her for almost a year and she really knows her stuff!

This was my first time going to get my hair done in 10+ years and I am completely blown away! Lisa is amazing and very down to earth! I put my trust in her hands and she did not disappoint! Thank you so much Lisa!!
