Bandit's Roost Park

This campground was wonderful! We went Easter weekend 2021 and we really enjoyed the beauty of the reservoir. We had a spot right next to the water it was clean and ready when we arrived early with a long picnic table, fire pit with grill top option plus a charcoal grill and slab table for prepping food. They only had water and electric hookups but offer a dump station on site for rvs. We just supplemented some of our bathroom trips to the bath house which was clean and in the morning when it was cold it was heated and lit nicely. Overall a quite campground but on Saturday the playground and basketball quart's were busy which was great for our kiddos and they are not located next to other sites which was nice. Would highly recommend and will return. Also firewood is available for purchase at this site and was the best price we had seen from our way into town.

great location on beautiful lake. very nicely maintained campground with bathrooms, playground and firewood for sale. controlled access means it's safe and limited to campers only. most sites have lake view. we were tent camping and the tent camping area is separate from the RV area with spacious shaded sites. we could access the lake with our canoe from our site but i believe there is a boat ramp if you need it. one of the lake mountain bike and hike trails can be accessed here, and also links up to another trail system, offering 20 miles of traffic free trails on the doorstep. very quiet at night when we were there. kids and parents had a wonderful time!

This was our first time here and it was very nice! I knew it was going to be full, but it really didn't seem like it! The bath house was never crowded and we had the beach to ourselves for a while! They don't have full hookups and only 2 dump stations, so we had to wait a little while on the way out. The view of the lake was great! We definitely want to come back!

Great mountain bike trails! We came up from Raleigh and it was definitely worth the trip and overnight stay

Lovely tent sites with wonderful water views! Our site was down a flight of stairs from the road. We really enjoyed how this made the site feel more private. Bathrooms were clean and well cared for. We can’t wait to come back.
