I So want this place to be better. I like buffets because of the amount of options. I've probably eaten here about twenty times in this past year. Today it really seemed like they are trying to do better. It seems like it's always hit and miss with this place. Most times they run completely out of green beans. And most times they are bad about refilling drinks. And most times the tables look a bit dirty. But today the buffet was stocked well, food was hot, drinks were refilled, and it looked cleaner. Often the ice cream machine isn't up and running and that was the only bad part about today's experience. I'm getting a little hopeful about this place. I don't think the price is bad at all, considering the outrageous cost at other places in Pierre. Just keep that ice cream machine up and running! And maybe offer some toppings to go with it. I find the best time to go there is about 4pm. Try to keep up the good work guys. You seem to be getting better.

I know when I come here I can always expect; to be greeted with a smile, great service, amazing food, a great environment, and overall a great experience. China buffet is by far my favorite place to eat in town. The food is always spectacular! I always leave here happy, and with a smile on my face! These people that work here are extremely nice and work extremely hard! I've eaten here probably over a hundred times and I've never once had a bad experience.

The food itself isn't really all that good compared to what we have out by us and the variety is lacking in the chicken entrees. I personally think the best buffets in the state are Watertown (the one that gets terrible reviews) and Brandon but Madison is also pretty good. The best time to go to these is right at 11AM or before noon.
