Requested the tires to be checked if leaking, possibly valves or rim seal because was putting air in front tires routinely but also check rear tires. When picking up the car I asked what they found and said they are all good. When I asked what they did they said checked the tire pressure and they were all good. I asked if they checked for leaks and was told no. I had just topped off the air so they were up to pressure. The issue I believe is the front desk person although very nice doesn’t have any significant understanding of the request made. Lastly after having to drop the car off once she asked if I could leave it again and come back later. I appreciate her trying to fix issue but no effort to do it quickly so I wouldn’t need to leave the car for an extended period. I didn’t have the time so had to leave without what I had asked to be checked out done. Really poor understanding and service. I will note at other times service has been good but not this visit.

I felt my car needed an overall check up and had some specific concerns. Spoke with Angie who was very honest and responsive about what they could do for me, and understood my concerns. It was very clear that she and the staff there at Pep Boys wanted to help ensure my car was safe and in good working order, and she even gave me options that would be more cost efficient for the time being, or if I wanted to invest a bit more for the long haul. Angie did not push me at all, but instead gave me the information I needed to make the choice that was right for me, in a very clear way, and even took the time to explain what it meant ( not just in mechanic terms). They did a great job on my car and did right by me as a consumer. I do not trust easily, ESPECIALLY about my car, but these guys I trust. I will definitely be going back.

Took car in for a oil change. Car had been perfectly fine. Was told my engine was making a lot of noise and wouldn’t crank. Recommended me to get diagnostics test because the car wasn’t drivable. I then crank my car up and it’s perfectly fine. Sad sad. This could have been someone’s mother or grandmother.

Poor customer service. I phoned at 5:50pm one day to find out if they would be able to take a walkin for an oil change, knowing that they closed at 7pm. I was told yes and left my job early in order to arrive as soon as possible. I was not informed that I would need to arrive by a certain time, (which would have easily prevented my frustration) and when I arrived at 6:29 was refused and was told the cutoff for walkins was 6:30pm. Giving two stars as the man at the desk was not outright rude, likely underpaid, and likely just doing his job, but do not expect them to get you out of any type of bind.

You need to be a little careful when going here. Had a bad flat and needed to be towed to get a replacement tire. While the car was there, I got a call saying the front brake pads needed to be replaced. That they were GONE and there was metal to metal contact. Not having had any problems, I was suspicious and replaced the brakes myself for $50 instead of the quoted $500. The brake pads were low but probably had another 10,000 miles to go. Their tire prices were good and fair. I have been back since, with no repeated extra sales attempted.
