This place has a lot of good qualities. It's cute, cozy, and clean. The atmosphere is nice and service is great. However, my experience with the drinks are mixed. I normally order a mocha. Half the time I go in, my drink is made PERFECTLY. The other half of the time, it's bitter and tastes like it doesn't have enough sugar. When that happens, it makes me not want to drink it and ive basically wasted my money. I don't what the deal is with the inconsistency but if they could fix that part, it would be my favorite spot for coffee in Charlotte.

Extremely mixed service. I come here regularly because it is close to my house, and every time I come, I have a completely different experience. I order large lattes in the ceramic mugs, but sometimes they give them to me in the smaller mugs or in the to-go cups. Sometimes the mug is full, other times it is not. Sometimes they put the espresso beans with the cup or do latte art, other times not. Sometimes the people working are friendly, sometimes they're almost rude. Usually the coffee tastes amazing, but sometimes it's terribly bitter. There's no quality control here. For $5 per latte, it should be great every time. I will say that the young black woman who works here (I think she might be a manager or shift lead) is always very friendly and gets my order perfect every time - she has great customer service skills. Aside from that, service is usually mediocre.

Delicious coffee, comfortable ambiance, and top-notch service. I had to work from here for an afternoon after my power went out at home. I was treated to a delicious Americano (see the pic - they put a chocolate coffee bean on the lid!), a comfy corner table, and excellent service.nnGreta was quick, helpful, and friendly. She warmed up my blueberry muffin - it's a little thing, but also means a lot. How many times have you been in a coffee shop and wondered how good your treat would be if it was warmed up? (It was delicious, by the way.)nnI never felt pressured to give up my table. It's a COVID-compliant establishment and I felt comfortable and safe there. I'll definitely come by again and maybe try the snickerdoodle coffee, which sounds amazing. Greta, thank you for your hospitality! Waterbean, you have a good thing going, and awesome people like Greta representing you.
