Favorite family campground for many years and several generations of ours!

Beautiful, serene and scenic. I was surprised at how clean and clear the water is. I didn't expect that t a lake. The campsites are so clean and well maintained. Although there wasn't any showers, there is running water available. And the bathrooms were very clean.nBeautiful place to get away, isolated and very peaceful. My 2 grandkids loved swimming there. No overcrowding. There was only one other family there.nThe picnic area is very nice too.nIf you're looking for a place to get away from the rest of the world, this is it!! You'll be glad you did!

This is my new favorite campground, it isnSud83dudc4fud83cudffdTud83dudc4fud83cudffdUud83dudc4fud83cudffdNud83dudc4fud83cudffdNud83dudc4fud83cudffdIud83dudc4fud83cudffdNud83dudc4fud83cudffdGud83dudc4fud83cudffd.while there is no electricity and there is only one water spout for the whole campground to share but there's only 14 sites so if you have a group you can book the whole place. There's also a couple of little hikes that you can go on and see lots of cool plants like Jack in the pulpit.

To secluded for me. If that is your thing them you hit the jackpot. Full service Dollar General 6 miles away. Bring tubes, small boats or canoes.

Currently campsites are closed and lake is drained. Still fairly decent view. Wildlife in the area. On the way in we saw deer, possum, turkey, raccoon and several other small animals. Being a traveler and frequent visitor of National Parks, I was surprised the CLOSED restrooms were so and clean. We checked the NPS website didn't mention it was closed. They need to update more often apparently. This is the first time I have had that issue. We planned on camping there. Yes we camp during winter. Not rv we tent camp. From from what I hear and have seen online this is a great spot. I am hoping it will be opening back up in the future. Stopped and asked locals say it was drained for maintenance. Sure hope so we would like to visit
