Unfortunately we didn't have the greatest experience. As much as we love Splash Landing, today wasn't good. They had two of the four slides closed due to electrical issues and the speed slide was closed but I don't know why. So they only had one slide to use. Then after being there for 2 hours they closed the 'toilet bowl' slide. When asked why they said they didn't have staff, one got sick and one became allergic to tick bites. That's not in their power I understand. They said an electrician was coming to work on the other slides but never seen them. The wave pool was full of June Bugs at the entrance. Where a simple broom and a dust pan could've cleared it. I almost asked if I could do it because I have such a fear of them (silly I know, but still a fear)nWe love this water park and this was our most disappointing trip. And we travel over an hour just to go.

I wish that I could give 0 stars based on our experience today, 07/21/20. We arrived at the park and the sky looked questionable. The employee working the ticket booth stated that she had just looked at the weather and it looked like everything was going to miss us. She proceeded to take our payment for entry, told us to have a good day, and then advised that the park was on a rain delay currently because of thunder but not to worry she has never seen a rain delay last more than an hour and a half. We walked inside and stood under the awning near the gift shop. After about an hour the park advised that storm warning sirens were going off and the park would now be closing for the day. Mind you we have not touched any of the attractions, we have not passed the restrooms near the entrance. I understand that there are no refund signs posted at the entrance, however when asked about a refund because we just stood by the gift shop, never even entering any of the slides or pools, we were told it was a sad situation. If we had atleast been able to enjoy part of the park for any amount of time, I would not have been happy but would have understood. Now we have three very disappointed children and wasted our money. If we would have been told the park was currently on a rain delay we would not have paid and would have waited outside the gate. The manager was very unhelpful and said nothing more than its a sad situation. I will not be recommending Splash Landing to anyone, especially if there is even a chance of a rain cloud.

We like the small town atmosphere and all of the staff members I have dealt with have been great. The other water park we have season passes to at home still refuses to open. We make a 3 hour drive because the place is just FUN. In days when people are locking you out of their restaurants and banks, THANK YOU for being open and allowing us to choose. Furthermore, thank you for treating us like normal people. WE choose not to live in fear.

This past summer I bought a season pass to Splash Landing. The cost of the season pass ticket was pretty average for a water park. The lifeguards were very attentive and the staff was very nice. All of the slides were open and it appeared that they were being very careful in order to keep everyone safe. However, the water in the lazy river wasn't filtered very well and there were a lot of bugs and leaves in the water on some days. Other days, the water was clean and to the correct water level. The bathrooms weren't that clean and half of the stalls were out of order. Despite those issues, I was pretty happy with the experience but there are a few things that I would change.

Fun place. Just be prepared to spend some money. These places are always more than you think you'd spend. Be realistic about your expectations that way. Your kids will love it though. They have something for every age group, babies to big kids, and by that I mean the dads.
