I had a locksmith come out because I was locked out of my house. He stated that, because I had a smart lock the only option was to drill it off. That’s probably true, but it took him 2 minutes and the total charge was $364. This seems like an extremely unreasonable cost for the services performed. He then also wanted to sell me a new deadbolt for $200 that I could buy myself for $20 at a hardware store. I believe the costs should have been shared with me prior to him completing the job.
Great and easy to use, but a bit pricey compared to other kiosks
Called to have someone unlock my front door. I asked how much the services were and I was told it was job specific and we would discuss it once they showed up (no mention of a service fee). Guy showed up 30 minutes late, said he couldn't do anything (due to lack of experience) but drill out the lock. I told him that wasn't an option. I had to pay a $45 service fee just for him to show up, not do anything and then leave. Make sure the locksmith has the experience to complete the job before you tell them to come by.
Great service and key works! Since my key was a special key, I was not able to get it made at a kiosk. The delivery time was longer than initially stated but it's here and it works!
I had a good experience with KeyMe. I will definitely do the upgrade for $2.00 next time I go to get a ud83dudd11 made to make sure that all the edges are smooth and I will definitely recommend KeyMe to Family & Friends.
