the wait was 2 hrs... luckily our hotel was walking distance... was anxious to see what the fuzz is about... the hype died immediately after we took a few bites... and mind you we didn't eat a meal since we woke up so based on experience you would generally find the first food you eat when you're hungry really good or satisfying... but nah... all of us were not in a hurry to finish our food... mine (chicken cheddar waffles) was too rich for my liking... i can hardly find or taste the cheddar there... the pancakes were fine but quickly lost its luster... the drinks were... i can't even remember... moving on!

My girlfriend and I were very excited to try this restaurant, we heard great things. There was a two hour wait to be seated. The best thing about our visit was the great care they took to ensure no seafood expose due to my girlfriend being allergic. How ever all of our food came out cold (chicken&waffles, pancakes, and pork sandwich) My hash browns were burnt to a crisp. The manager tried to convince us it was fresh, which simply wasn’t true. He did not care at all about the quality of the food. Our waitress did not check back in with us after dropping the food. Will not return.

Went because the reviews were overall great. They must have came from when Miss Shirley was in the kitchen! Had the smothered chicken skillet & shrimp omelette. The chicken and greens had absolutely no seasoning and the chicken was dry. We asked to add crab to the omelette, and instead was given a crab cake, for a $12 up charge. We expected extra, but would have been nice for the server to tell us $12. The server also seemed bothered, and never once checked in to see how the food was or if we needed anything. The drinks were weak. We’re visiting Baltimore again in July, but we won’t be back! We also tried Saturday Morning Cafe, just a few minutes away. Skip Shirley’s and Eat there! The food was great and homemade!

Great location with good covid precautions.nWe had to wait for an hour because it was peak hour, and it was worth the wait.nThe cornbread was GREAT (we were so hungry we didn’t get the chance to take a picture).nI had the pancakes and they were very good and my friend had the omelette which was also good.nThe portions are generous.nThe only reason I left a star out was because we felt that the seating wasn’t efficient. We were 2 people sitting on 2 tables which fits 5 people comfortably. If they utilized the space more efficiently we probably wouldn’t have waited for an hour.

Whatever you read about this place, know this - the food is top tier. The atmosphere is excellent and it's right in inner harbor so you can people watch while you're enjoying one of the best breakfasts you're going to get. The collard greens here are excellent. The everything biscuits are excellent. The chicken tenders are excellent. It's hard to find something they're not doing right here.
