This is by far one of the most unique dining places we have ever been to. The food was amazing. The sangria was so good! We enjoyed it. Be sure to take lots of pictures at the top of the stairs to get the view of the restaurant. It’s inside the Lightner Museum and is only open for lunch. Tip: definitely book a reservation-they fill up quickly!
We accidentally found this beautiful and historic gem. We weren't planning on this visit in, but happened upon it and went in to eat and learn. I highly recommend stopping here. We ate the hummus and turkey and cranberry and really enjoyed our whole dining experience. The whole staff was incredible!
This is the COOLEST place. Built into the floor of a historic 1800s indoor swimming pool, it is really neat. Fancy white table cloths but with affordable prices. You MUST eat lunch here. They had a talented pianist playing. This is our number one lunch spot in St. Augustine.
We only ran into this restaurant because it started to rain on our walk back to the car. What a pleasant surprise! The Alcazar Club was perfectly warm, seasoned and flavored. The Cuban was wonderfully authentic and crisp! Quick and great food!
History of old Florida and a great meal all rolled up into one here at the Cafe Alcazar! I'd never had dinner in a pool until we were seated and discovered the restaurant was located in the old hotel's grand pool. We sat in the shallow end and had wonderful service and food. Get anything with shrimp, they're very fresh!
