I called Jose on a Friday afternoon to speak to him about painting the exterior of our home. Jose managed to come to the house within 30 minutes of my initial phone call. Jose was very personable, professional, and guided us on what work should be completed given our home is up for sale. He was able to provide a quote on the spot and was even able to start the next day at 8:00 a.m. Jose's pricing is very reasonable and the work is excellent. On Saturday, Jose arrived at 7:56 a.m. with a crew and they began working. I have worked with some other contractors in Key West and you are lucky if they show up, let alone arrive a few minutes early! Jose took no short-cuts, they sanded, caulked, and applied 2 coats of paint. Jose stopped by multiple times and checked the work and progression of the project. The men working for Jose are hard working, polite, and skilled. The guys cleaned up every night as if they were never there and we were able to still have showings while they painted. I trust that Jose can do the work, but more importantly he cares about doing the work correctly with zero short-cuts. I will hire Jose for any of my home improvement projects. Key West Home Improvement is an excellent company and I would highly suggest giving Jose a call on your next project.
We contracted Jose for complete renovations of 2 bathrooms in our condo in Key Largo, Florida. Pricing was very reasonable. Jose was great to deal with as he is very responsive and sent pictures showing daily progression of the work from demolition through all stages to the finish. We live in Canada and had to manage the project at a distance- I can't say enough as to how comfortable Jose made us feel through our daily communications. It was almost like we were there. He is trustworthy and is very conscientious as he takes pride in doing a high quality job- he cares. He and his crew showed up when he said they would and completed all work on time, with time to spare ! Jose is also flexible and did jobs which were not part of the scope of the work, but really helped us out. There was not a problem for which Jose did not have a solution! We contacted Key West Home Improvement (Jose) in early August for our Key West kitchen renovation. Jose responded to my call immediately and was at our condo giving us an estimate within 2 hours. Work began within 5 days and was completed within 22 days, way ahead of schedule and above our expectations. Jose was extremely proactive when problems arose on the job site, such as finding pipes or wiring where it wasn't expected, and resolved several tough challenges to make our kitchen amazing. He communicated the job status with us every day, sending pictures or calling us to share the day's progress. Our project included cabinets, floor, tile backsplash, removing/repairing walls, moving plumbing and electrical, pretty much rebuilding the kitchen from the studs. We are thrilled with the results and will definitely work with Jose again in the future. He's the only contractor that I have ever worked with that sticks to his promises and meets the deadlines. He's awesome!

I hired KWHI to paint the cabinets in my kitchen and bathrooms. I could not be happier with the results! The price was very reasonable and the quality of work was excellent. Since the cabinets turned out so great, I also hired Jose and his team for additional projects that included painting baseboards, staining the porch & deck, screening in my deck, installing a garbage disposal, replacing toilets/faucets, and installing outdoor lighting. The screened in deck turned out amazing. The materials used were very high quality and so was the work. Jose is a great contractor to work with and he and his team are very friendly and responsive. They were able to work around my moving schedule and got everything done before I moved in which was way more than expected given the notice I gave them on some of the projects. I would not think of ever using anyone else for work on my house now. I will definitely use KWHI again and refer them to anyone looking for a contractor.
