Ordered the chicken tacos which were pretty solid. The food itself was pretty good and pricing wasn't bad (they do take debit/credit as well). While sitting at one of the tables enjoying the food a vagrant wandered in asking if we'd buy him some tacos he likes there. When mentioning we didn't have cash he asked we take the card up. We declined and he moved on to the next table where he ended up sitting down right at their bench pushing for food. The fact that the girl at the counter witnessed all this and said nothing seemed like it is a regular occurance. Taco Express seemed fine with customers being hastled while eating which threw the whole experience off.

The tacos birria were to die for. I'll definitely be back. As as added bonus they have nice shaded seating in case you want to eat right there.

Good food stall. I liked the design and local feel to it. One thing is the lady was not being partial to white people over colored people like me. My friend too shared same experience

After having been in Key West for a year and not having found many restaurants to my liking as well as being born and raised in San Diego, I have to admit I had very low expectation for Taco Express. I was alarmed when I saw that 3 birria tacos were $13, but I went ahead with my order anyways. They were quite delicious but very expensive in my opinion (you can get that for $5 in San Diego). I’ll definitely be coming back once in awhile when I have a craving for real Mexican food.
