Well maintained primitive campsites. I think someone comes around once a week to clean out the fire rings during the on season and the vault bathrooms get cleaned daily. Like I said, these frequent cleanings happen between Memorial day and Labor day. The boat ramp at South Shore is very nice with lots of parking and a fish cleaning station. I have mosty met really good fellow campers there and only a scant handful of seemingly entitled people who really seemed like they didn't want to be there in the first place. Beautiful, quiet nights under the stars with fireflies dancing around and the song of bullfrogs serenading the evening with the springtime chorus coming from the whippoorwills, save for the occasional camper with their generator running all night long~~~ if only there were a separate place for people and their generators, maybe on the downstream side of the dam. (Wishful thinking)nnFor the most part I'd say it's a wonderful place to be, I remember my folks taking the family there in the 70's & 80's and I will continue to make it a getaway destination.

Great view of the lake, amazing place to camp. No electricity, but pretty high and dry.
