I took my seven year old son on Saturday. Cape fear was broken. Tried to go down the Fun-L-Tunnel or the Zoom Flume, both of which you have to be 48”, the lifeguard did not even measure my son. The lifeguard at that area said, “You can’t have your sunglasses and he’s too small”. She didn’t even measure him so I don’t know how she could judge just by looking at him without measuring. When he went to the pediatrician for his seven year appointment in January he measured 49”. I guess the only slide he could go on were the aqua colored ones (Power Surge). My son and I rode that together, which tandem is 36” and that lifeguard even measured him, which he’s way over 36” but at least she took the initiative to measure him instead of just saying no. So after spending $100 on admission, a locker, and food the only thing we could do was one slide. It was like a waste of money. We went to Volcano Bay over the summer and he was able to ride all of the 48” slides. I just can’t believe I paid all that money at Sun Splash to go on one slide all because the lifeguard didn’t measure him.

Kids had a great time...

This small water park is great for younger kids who want to spend a full day out splashing, sliding down rides, and floating along on inner tubes.nnHave a slide race, lounge on the lazy river, and swim in one of the many pools. It’s a great place for younger children to go on rides without being pushed away by some of the older children – as can happen with many of Florida’s older parks.

I was only there repairing one of the water slides. The people at the park are great though. I would definitely recommend the place.

Not very efficient with lines and moving people on. And not very well landscaped, but then again it is City owned. No group two brides, no wave pool. Good place to drop your kids off and leave
