Definitely enjoyed our family 4 day stay at Hanna Park Campground. We stayed in our tents.nEach site had a fire ring, one picnic table, lantern post.nActivities to stay busy- bike trails, walking trails, nature center open on Friday and Saturday 2-5pm, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, beach time. Playground, water park was still under repair. Laundry area available. Recycling and plenty of dumpsters. BBQ truck was available while we were there on Saturday.nnThe camp store has basics- ice, water, cold drinks, firewood and a few trinkets.nSites vary greatly in size - so check out your site!n3 tents per site, pets allowed, 6 people per site.nShower area would probably be the con - ready for update but were cleaned regularly and staff was friendly.nWe enjoyed our stay and will return.

Very nice place to spend some time. Sites are spacious and divided by very dense vegetation. A fairly solid solid canopy of large trees. Roads are difficult to navigate with a big rig and lots are very uneven so have plenty of extra blocks. That said... it was well worth it. Ocean beaches, a lake, and many trails all within walking distance.

This is our first time staying here and it won't be out last! This is a great campground. We love the shaded and secluded sites, the beautiful lake, and the beach. A dog park would make this a perfect campground.

We really enjoyed this park and giving it a 4 Star rating doesn't truly reflect how much we enjoyed it (but is accurate for many others). The campground is truly in a whole new world. It reminds us of the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland. You are tucked away in a jungle surrounded by city, beaches, and a military base. The tree cover is extensive and there is abundant wildlife. The roads are narrow, you appreciate them because they blend in with the environment. We booked one week originally, but enjoyed our stay so much that we booked another.nnRegistration on the website is simple and the check in when you arrive is quick and painless (staff is friendly and helpful). It's just a nice park with great value.nnProsn- Registration and Check in (great description of site eg. level/private)n-Customer Servicen- Price (best in Florida we found so far)n- Atmospheren- Beach in close walking distancen- Plenty of bike trailsn- Hiking trails (pro and con)n- Most sites have a good feeling of privacyn- Utilities worked well (except one issue in cons)n- Sprint and Verizon worked greatn- Fire rings and benches in each siten- Good sized spaces overalln- Nice lakennConsn- Very muddy in rain (which happens a lot) Gravel would helpn- Dumpsters can be pretty far awayn- Roads are narrow for larger rigs, but we didn't have any issuesn- Hiking trails are nice, but very limited in and out. Basically when you start on the 6 mile loop you have to finish it. There are no shortcuts.n- Noise can be a challenge (Military helicopters all day, construction, and animals). We didn't mind it, but many will.n- Electrical connection was very challenging with an EMS or surge protector. The connection is on a 45 degree angle and the weight of the cord and EMS pull it right out. We had to connect to the 50AMP and then tie the EMS to the post. Really hard to work with.n- Some of the sites are not level at all (site 97 was a real challenge for us). Not only is it very uneven, but your levelers will just sink into the mud. We carry 1x6s for this reason and they came in really handy. Kudos to the park though for telling you the condition of each site.nnThose cons are what brought it down to a 4 star for us, but again we really liked the placed and will always stay at Hanna if in the area. The value is incredible and we would encourage people to choose the park (recognizing some of the challenges) if in the area.

I LOVED OUR 2 NIGHT STAY!!!! The best part was all the natural barriers between sites. Made it feel like we were the only people there. The only tricky part were the tight roads ... more like a path ... but we were able to get in and out with a little preplanning. I wish more campgrounds were laid out like this!!! GREAT JOB JACKSONVILLE CITY THIS IS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!!
